Hindi cinema’s favourite ‘student’ will now be seen on Sadak 2, one of the most eagerly-awaited movies of the year. Earlier, many assumptions were been taken by fans that Mukesh Bhatt produced, Sadak 2 will have a theatrical release. However, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, the producer has confirmed that this movie starring Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt will have an OTT release. In a conversation with PTI, Mukesh stated that he is compelled to opt for a digital release as he doesn’t see any light in the near future.
Mukesh said, “This is the best I can do to survive. There are certain things that you do, not out of choice but out of compulsion. This is the only option left. It is a no-brainer. Even if they do and Sadak 2 is released, will people go to watch it? People have to protect their families. Today, life is more important.”
Sadak 2 is a sequel of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Sadak’, which released in 1991. The duo will be seen again with Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is expected that the announcement of Alia’s Sadak 2’s digital release will be made tomorrow.
