Indian actor Mimoh aka Mahaakshay Chakraborty, in his recent interview with TNN, spoke about the influence of his dad, actor Mithun Chakraborty in his life. When the news portal questioned Mimoh what the one aspect he has learned from his dad, he instantly responded by saying that there is no single answer.
In a conversation with TNN, he said, “Well, to be honest, it isn’t just one thing I have learnt from him. I am who I am and what I am because of the teachings of my dad. He is an institution in life and work and art and struggle and most importantly, honesty, integrity and humility. He is a man who is true to his word. And that is something I am in awe of. Dad tells me, ‘A man’s merit is only weighed by the word he gives to his fellow man’. Those lines are what I want implement in my life as well.”
The actor further added, “It’s very difficult in today’s times to find honour in this world. People tend to find shortcuts and quick ways to fame, money and success. But we all know that nothing beats commitment to the job at hand and the word you give yourself to achieve it and I have learned that from Dad. He is my hero for a reason.”
Mimoh started his acting career with ‘Jimmy’ in 2008 and rose to fame after the release of his 2011 horror movie ‘Haunted-3D’ which was directed by Vikram Bhatt, and featured Tia Bajpai, Arif Zakaria and Achint Kaur in a vital role.
