Megastar Salman Khan files a case against Parody Studios Pvt Ltd for its game “Selmon Bhai” for tarnishing his image

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has filed a civil case against Parody Studios Pvt Ltd for allegedly using his face in their game, “Selmon Bhai”. The star accuses the developers for using his picture without his consent and defaming his image.

Salman Khan has filed a case against the developers of a video game, Selmon Bhai. The reason cited is that the developers, Parody Studios Pvt Ltd used Salman’s face as the main character of the game. Salman accused them of using his face without his consent and defaming his public image. Selmon Bhai is more controversial and related to Salman Khan because it is based on the hit and run case of 2002 in which Salman was the primary accused. According to the Press Trust of India, the court reportedly took quick action and asked the Play Store, Apple Store and other platforms to remove the video game immediately.

The court said, “Upon watching the game and its images, it prima facie matches with the identity of the plaintiff (Khan) and to the hit-and-run case connected to the plaintiff,” The court went to say that this is a clear case of defamation as the image of the actor is being hurt. The court added, “When the plaintiff has not given his consent for developing of the game, which is very similar to his identity and the case against him, certainly his right to privacy is being deprived and his image is also being tarnished,”

Selmon Bhai, if you don’t know is a social media synonym used for Salman Khan in memes and other digital content. Talking about the case of hit and run, Salman was given a clean chit from the court and all the charges against him were proven false.
