After making her acting debut in the Telugu film industry with Mahesh Babu in the 2018 political action drama Bharat Ane Nenu, Kiara Advani is set for another movie in South. Mumbai Mirror has learned that the actress is in talks for another Mahesh-starrer, Sarakaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram.
“Kiara and Mahesh were a successful pairing in Bharat Ane Nenu and the makers are looking to recreate the magic. After several rounds of discussions, they felt she fits the bill and with successful films like Kabir Singh and Good Newwz to her credit, they feel Kiara’s presence will give the film a pan-India appeal, particularly in the Hindi belt,” reveals a source close to the development.
This is Mahesh Babu’s 27th film. The script is ready and the makers are ready to start the shooting as soon as normalcy returns. “The team is exploring several options on how to shoot and will kick off once the safety guidelines are in place,” The source has been quoted as saying, “Mahesh Babu plays a larger-than-life character who takes on a white-collared businessman responsible for several financial crimes. The story highlights the disparities between the rich and the poor in the country’s banking system.” The source told the publication, the leading man will sport a different look in the film since it’s a young character. “He is a style icon down South and the makers have designed a special look for Mahesh Babu.” the source told Mumbai Mirror.
Kiara has already wrapped up three films, Laxmmi Bomb, Indoo Ki Jawani and Shershaah. The shoot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, with Kartik Aaryan and Tabu, was halted mid-way following the nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus. Laxmmi Bomb, a horror comedy with Akshay Kumar playing a transgender ghost, is expected to release soon.
