Amitabh Bachchan, the veteran actor recently shared a touching story of his childhood on the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. This happened, when a contestant recalled his financial struggle as a youth. Amitabh too, then went on to share his story of struggle while he was growing up.
The contestant named Jai Kurukshetra shared, how his mother could only afford to give him Rs 5 for the snack that he wanted to buy himself, where the original price of the snack was Rs. 7. On that note, Amitabh too recalled an incident when he wanted to join the school cricket team but it required a minimum fees of Rs. 2. But Teji Bachchan, his mother could not afford to give him the money. Amitabh said, that the incident taught him and important lesson. He says ” Rs.2 ka mulya kya ha woh aaj hume yaad ata ha” (I still remember the value of Rs. 2)
He also recalled how his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan gifted him a camera from his visit to Russia. He says it’s his most prized possession. “The value of these things stay with us all our life” he said.
Amitabh Bachchan, who previously tested COVID positive and was admitted to a hospital, has now resumed shooting.
