Kate Middleton spoke from the heart when she made the announcement of her cancer diagnosis.

As per the reports by PEOPLE, citing an insider, the princess had written “every word herself,” referencing the Princess of Wales’ video speech, which was filmed by the BBC in the gardens of Windsor Castle last week.

Another source has revealed that she wrote the words herself, delivered it personally, and also decided exactly when to hit the world with that news.

An emotional video was shared by Kensington Palace on Friday, wherein the mother of three shared the news of her cancer diagnosis, which was found by doctors post her abdominal surgery in January.

“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” said the princess.

She also mentioned that currently she is on early stage of preventative chemotherapy, which was advised by her medical team.
