K-Drama: Kang Ki Doong recalls making friends with Kim Soo Hyun on the sets of ‘It’s Okay Not To Be Okay’

Korean actor Kang Ki Doong reminisces making friends with Kim Soo Hyun on the sets of the drama series ‘Its’s Okay Not To Be Okay’.

In South Korean drama series ‘It’s Okay Not To Be Okay’, which is a story about a couple who ends up falling for each other while healing their emotional wounds, lead pair of Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye-Ji were able to show the tension on-screen. However Kim Soo Hyun is seen having great tuning with Oh Jung Se and Kang Ki Doong in the series. Oh Jung se and Kim were friends from the past and to become friends with Kang Ki Doong, Kim took several steps, as revealed by former. It helped them both to polish their characters on the big screen.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Kang Ki Doong says how Kim Soo Hyun approached him which was the beginning of their friendship and interaction which later bloomed easily as they both are of the same age. Via Koreaboo, Kang Ki Doong told Daum News, “Since we’re friends in the drama, too, the director told us we had to have good chemistry, so we ended up becoming close for real very quickly. Soo Hyun was the one whom I got close to the fastest and the easiest on set. Since we’re the same age, we could relate on a lot of things,” as put by Pinkvilla.

Even if the actors are great friends today, they remember how their worlds were apart and alike from each other that they were worried about it but the efforts they put in their characters helped them personally and vice versa. Being friends in real life brought their roles finer in the reel. The duo’s chemistry is quite evident in the series and won over their fans.
