Justin Bieber to make a comeback on the VMAs stage this year

Justin Bieber is back to the VMAs stage for the first time in six years along with many other pop sensations.

Justin Bieber is on his way to make a comeback to the VMAs stage for the super event which will air this Sunday night at 8 p.m. EDT. The in-person award show will be held at Barclays Center in New York since the past shows held amid the pandemic were strictly virtual.

Bieber would be leading this year’s show with seven nominations which consists of categories like, video of the year for “POPSTAR” and artist of the year.The singer’s last performance for the VMAs stage was in 2015 where he performed “What Do You Mean?”

Other stars and sensations have also booked their performance slots like Lil Nas X, Camila Cabello, Chloe, Kacey Musgraves, Shawn Mendes, Olivia Rodrigo, Machine Gun Kelly and Doja Cat who is also going to serve as the show’s host.

Personalities like Conor McGregor, 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Ashanti, Rita Ora, Simone Biles Billy Porter, Travis Barker and Fat Joe will play the role of presenters for the award fest.

Megan Thee Stallion will be stepping in as the second-leading nominee with six nominations while BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo, a first time nominee will be following right behind with five nods.

The choice of the artist of the year award would be selected between Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

A performance by the The Foo Fighters will be witnessed and not only that but they will be receiving the Global Icon Award as an honor handed out for the first time in the history of VMAs.

The same prestigious award was previously presented at the annual MTV Europe Music Awards to artists like Queen, Eminem and Whitney Houston.

The band will be performing at the VMAs for the first time since 2007.
