Recently, Jennifer Lopez explained why she and Ben Affleck don’t always stroll hand in hand and side by side. The Hustlers actress stated on Live with Kelly and Mark that because of their different heights, she is frequently pictured a step behind her actor husband while they are holding hands.
“Ben is 6’3, 6’4, and I am tiny — I’m smaller. I’m about 5’6.” On the programme, Lopez noted that they frequently hold hands because they are “very affectionate,” and that they “make it work.” She went on to say, “He’s taller and his arm’s up, and I walk like a step behind, just to compensate.” “With which I’m okay.”
The show’s hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who admitted in March that they, too, “are arm length incompatible,” concurred that it was difficult for them to hold hands because of their different arm lengths. Consuelos saw that Ripa’s arms were 4 inches shorter and his were 4 inches longer than his body.
Lopez was made fun of by Ripa for taking a step behind her spouse, saying that they should “steal that” for themselves and Consuelos.
This week, Lopez spoke up about Affleck becoming the stepfather to her two children.
He’s a beautiful, wonderful father,” Lopez gushed about the AIR actor while speaking to Hoda Kotb on Today. Additionally, he serves as a father figure to [Max and Emme] because he has his own three lovely children in addition to us.
“He’s amazing. She continued, “He truly rises to the challenge of what that is and what it implies. They adore him, too. They cherish him. And I share their appreciation for him.
Max and Emme Lopez, who are 15 years old, are shared by Marc Anthony, 54. Affleck is the father of three children, Samuel, 11, Seraphina, 14, and Violet, 17, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Garner. He is also the stepfather to Lopez’s twins.
In an interview with PEOPLE last year, Lopez discussed her relationship with Affleck, which they had previously called off. She revealed that the two “had a little bit of fear” this time around about the attention their relationship would receive in light of the media circus that surrounded them the first time around. She claimed, “Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naive and it got trampled a little bit.”
Now, she remarked, “We both were like, ‘Wow, we’re so happy and we don’t want any of that to come into play again.'” We need to be very aware of the fact that we are older, wiser, more experienced, in a different stage of life, and now have children. Because it’s such a wonderful moment for us all, we’re really protective.”
The Mother, a new movie starring Lopez, debuts on Netflix on May 12.
