Alia Bhatt is getting ready to host the first-ever “Hope Gala” in London. This is in aid of Salaam Bombay, Alia’s preferred charity, which uses in-school initiatives to connect the poorest “at-risk” kids in Mumbai.
A person close to the actress’s camp has revealed that Alia will co-host the Hope Gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London on March 28 in association with the Mandarin Oriental hotel group.
This is to help Salaam Bombay, Alia’s preferred charity, which works with the most disadvantaged ‘at-risk’ children in Mumbai by providing them with after-school academies (skill building) and in-school programmes (leadership and advocacy) that increase their self-esteem, confidence, and dedication to finishing school. Reports stated that well-known London and Indian businessmen and philanthropists would be present at the Gala.
On the work front, the filming for “Jigra,” which also stars Vedang Raina, is completed for Alia Bhatt. She is now working on a number of big-budget projects, such as “Jee Le Zaraa,” starring Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The movie is meant to continue “Dil Chahta Hai” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”‘s friendship storyline. However, the film’s creators have not yet released an official statement about the same.
