On August 3, various media outlets claimed that Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar had filed a case of domestic assault, sexual violence, and mental harassment against him. As facts of Talwar’s accusation became public, the case rocked the internet. She claims that the Punjabi artist and rapper cheated on her with many women in her complaint.
Honey Singh “panicked and ruthlessly assaulted her,” Talwar claims, after photos of their wedding ceremony leaked on social media. Honey Singh’s wife claims that he has had “casual sex with many women.” Shalini Talwar has now filed a claim for Rs 10 crore under the ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act,’ according to a recent story in ZeeNews India.
According to reports of Zeenews, Talwar described herself as a “farm animal…being handled mercilessly.” The case was filed before Tania Singh Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the Tis Hazari Court in New Delhi on the 3rd of August. In her lawsuit, Honey Singh’s wife has identified her mother-in-law Bhupinder Kaur, father-in-law Sarabjit Singh, and Honey Singh’s sister Sneha Singh. “She also suffered from indications of depression and sought medical help due to mental harassment and brutality forced upon her over a period of time,” she wrote in her appeal. Sandeep Kapur, Apoorva Pandey, and GG Kashyap of the firm Karanjawala & Co. are representing Shalini Talwar.
