He is a star in almost all the languages he worked. He is a known face to most of the moviegoers across the world. He has a huge fan base and is best known for his heartful smile. Actor R Madhavan is one of the most talented and praiseworthy actors in the film industry. Though he is very popular, here are a few lesser-known facts about him.

1. His career graph has been quite dramatic. From getting trained for the army to an electronics degree to a public speaking guru to acting, Madhavan has done it all. He has done his graduation in electronics and represented India as a cultural ambassador in Canada. He has also represented India at the Young Businessmen Conference in Tokyo, Japan, in 1992.

2. His wife Sarita Birje, was his student at his public speaking class. She was air hostess by profession and got married to Madhavan even before he made his movie debut.

7. Remember Madhavan’s cult role as an IAF pilot in Rang De Basanti? The role was a dream come true for the actor because he always wanted to serve the nation and was awarded Best NCC Cadet Maharashtra and got a chance to go to England for it. He was even trained with the Royal Army, Navy and the Air Force.
