A 35-year-old Harry Styles fan has reportedly received a prison sentence for stalking the Grammy winner singer.
The fan has been identified as Myra Carvalho, who is from Brazil and has been living in London hostel since December. She has been sentenced to 14-week prison according to reports by multiple UK outlets including The BBC and The Guardian. She has also been reportedly banned from attending any of the Grammy winner’s performance, or contacting him for 10 years.
She pleaded guilty on Tuesday of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, as per the reports by The Guardian. She was also ordered to pay $165 as victim surcharge.
The report also noted the prosecutors alleging that Myra had sent some 8,000 cards, to the Don’t Worry Darling actor, which also included handwritten cards, and several were delivered in person to Harry’s London residence.
Meanwhile, there has been no comment from As It Was hitmaker.
It must be noted that this is not the first time that the singer, who was awarded with album of the year award for 2023 for this third album Harry’s House, has dealt with a stalker.
Earlier, in 2019, Pablo Tarazaga-Orero, 26, was barred from going nears Harry and also forbidden from posting about the star on social media.
