From Katrina Kaif to Anushka Sharma: Top 4 rudest Bollywood divas

It appears that a number of actors, including Kajol and Katrina Kaif, have had some unpleasant interactions with their fans. Look at some of the most impolite Bollywood actors.

Like us, Bollywood stars are people with feelings, too. If an actor finds himself entangled in an unpleasant scandal involving non-celebrities, this is the principal defence in their favour.

Although it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact rudeness of any Bollywood star, Quora users have created an intriguing discussion. Many readers have shared stories of their unpleasant encounters with celebrities, both male and female, in the thread titled “Who is the rudest Bollywood actress you have ever met?” Check out few of the “rudest Bollywood actors.”

ANUSHKA SHARMA

Although Anushka Sharma hasn’t been specifically identified in this message by an unidentified user, it’s a reasonable assumption. Here’s what took place:

“I can’t say the name of the actress but you should know that her name starts with ‘A’ and she has done some great films and I really used to like her until sometime ago. I am the assistant of store manager of ****** in Mumbai. Everything was going fine. Being a showroom of a famous French brand which has only six stores in India, it is often visited by who’s who of fashion industry & even film industry. So, one fine evening this woman comes to store. We were total of eight staffs in the store including the manager. She just walked in with a friend and one of our staffs greeted them and brought them in. It was about 10 pm and the store was supposed to close at 11 pm. She asked for a party wear which she was going to gift someone. So our staff girl who happened to be my good friend brought the brochure to her. Then began the game of “Not this, that!” In the next half hour we showed her seven or eight dresses but she couldn’t decide which to buy. Her mute friend kept mum all the time except for being a yesman. Our brochures are updated regularly and we don’t have all the dresses in the store at any given time. We usually take advance order and get it prepared or imported. So, she pointed out a particular one and unfortunately that wasn’t available at that time. We asked her for some time to arrange it. And then she started to show her true colours.

It took a lot for the manager to calm her down as she wasn’t being professional at all. Then, again she did “Not this, that!” by the time it was already 11 pm. It was time for everyone to go. So, all the staffs called it a day and only five people were left in the store including me, my colleague friend, my manager and the two of them. We showed her almost 15 pieces available in our store but she didn’t select one. She kept fixating on the one that wasn’t available and wanted that right away. At last, my manager started losing it and he told her it’s time to close the store and she will have to leave. Again she started shouting and calling different bad things to our store and brand. But nonetheless she was shown the exit way and we were able to reach home by 12 am.

But this didn’t end. Next day we found that she had complained about the store staffs on the website of the company. The Head of Sales and Public Relations was furious at us for misbehaving and not giving .satisfactory service to such a big actress. Since the complaint was cited as a priority by the company, my friend was terminated from the job for poor conduct and all the staff’s salary was deducted for the month. We did make some plans to get to her but she didn’t show up again. Eventually we had to let go of it.

I believe that stars become stars from the common people and because of the common people. They should stop thinking of themselves as God. A poor girl had to lose her job because of someone’s arrogance. Humanity doesn’t work that way. It makes me sad to be a part of this unbelievably sick social convention.

Edit: Since you all are so hell bent on knowing the name, its a 7 letters word starting with A. (sic)”

KAJOL

It was shocking to hear what a netizen had to say about the iconic diva Kajol. The anonymous user wrote: ”

Kajol. Worst ever. I have never seen a more messed up in the head ultra preoccupied person ever… and I am an industry gal myself, with enough interaction with the who’s who of the industry!

So bumped into Kajol when she was in Chennai to promote her Tamil movie; A press conference had been called. I was staying in that hotel.

I see the press folks, generally idling around, waiting interminably for the diva to make her appearance, we get talking, Shashi Tharoor walks by, I run like a school girl to get to meet him, but miss 🙁 . Some press guys were luckier.

Anyways, lady finally is ready for the pressmeet, is perfect in front of the cameras, but being a general bad tempered b**** off camera. You know the drill. South industry is not familiar with such starry tantrums.

What gets me most is how she acted with someone whom she thought was just a regular fan, and how her manner changed instantly once she knew it was a VIP.

I’d harbored such a wholesome idea of her in my mind- of a sweet actress, doting daughter, great mom, great wife… that died that day.

I hope it was just a bad hair day for her.”

TWINKLE KHANNA

This thread also features Mrs. Funnybones. Another user goes unidentified and writes:

“I was working as a part timer in Crossword Juhu, Mumbai as a sales representative for Mattel Toys. 10 years ago a small, 4 year old kid came to me asking for a toy. I asked him what he wanted, he replied, “I will search for my toy” so I said, “Ok”. After searching for a long time he found a toy and with a surprised look he said “I was looking for this very toy since long”! It was a bubble maker toy. After that he went happily running towards his Mom and I resumed my work.

After sometime a fair lady with coloured hair came to me with anger written all over her face. I didn’t recognize her at first but I realised later that it was Twinkle Khanna. She came to me and started yelling, “Have you shown this to him?”

I replied, “No he has taken it himself.” After hearing it she again shouted at me saying, “how can you give toys to small kids?” and a long speech of never-ending rants.

As I was working part time with a meagre salary I got a little frustrated at her and replied, “if you have any problem you can file a complaint against my name to the manager.” Then she shouted at her son and he started crying and after that she asked me the cost of the toy to which I said, “It’s Rs 280?” and then what she said shocked me.

She said, “Do you know how much hard work is required to earn 280 rupees!” and she left!

I found her very rude because shouting at me made no sense and yelling at the small kid on the money part was quite rude as well. (sic)”

KATRINA KAIF

In the discussion about the rudest Bollywood actresses, Katrina Kaif makes two appearances. An anonymous user wrote the first occurrence. The user said,

“This is a first hand experience I was witness to while coming back to Mumbai from London by a Jet Airways flight couple of years ago. I was upgraded to Business Class due to my frequent flyer miles and was enjoying the classy service on the flight, when I noticed a bit of rustle and hustle among the passengers who were looking with awe at the flight entrance.

And walks in Ms Kaif with her entourage, now the time was when she had just struck gold by doing some hit movies and was seemingly dating Mr Khan. She made herself comfortable on her seat along with her manager beside her. She seemed a bit tired but nevertheless as naturally beautiful as she looks on the screen.

As the flight took off, her tantrums started, she was not ready to give direct instructions to the airline staff about what she wanted and directed them through her manager only. She was probably in a bad mood and yelled at her manager a couple of times and once to an extent of saying something nasty to the airline staff.

Sometime later, when the things were a bit settled down, a kid probably say around 8-10 years old walked towards her from the Economy class with a pen and notebook for her autograph. It seems she was in deep sleep and probably the kid disturbed her by calling her ‘Aunty’ and boy all hell was let lose.

She just yelled on the poor kid, “How dare you call me Aunty? Don’t you know who I am? How did you come to me? How can the staff be so irresponsible? I am gonna complain,” and many more undesirable things. The poor kid just stood there stunned as the airline staff ran towards her rescue. The kid with tears in his eyes and probably a need for lifelong therapy ran back to his seat.

After a minute or so, a Sikh gentleman walked hurriedly to the business class and toward’s Ms. Kaif’s seat. Her manager tried to intervene, but the gentleman just gestured her to stop and asked Ms. Kaif in an agitated tone” HOW DARE YOU SCARE A LITTLE CHILD AND WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? YOU FOREIGN IMPORT WHO JUST GOT LUCKY TO BE WITH A BOLLYWOOD STAR. SHAME ON YOU!!” and walked back in the same way he had come to the business class followed by tremendous applause by all the passengers including me leaving Ms. Kaif completely speechless.

The rest of the flight was uneventful and whenever I tried to have a look at Ms. Kaif, I found her sleeping with her head towards the window. (sic)”
