Dia Mirza gone through a near-to-death experience in fifth month of pregnancy, shares experience

The former Miss India Asia-Pacific, Dia Mirza made her bollywood debut in 2001 with ‘Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein’. Dia had not just prove her talent as an actor but also as producer in the industry. She had expressed her experience of the year 2021 which was a roller coaster ride with multiple ups and down.

From her wedding day to being a mother, she had to go through a near-to-death experience. In an interview, she said, “I had to go in for an appendectomy in the fifth month of my pregnancy. I was in and out of hospital subsequently because of an acute bacterial infection that could have led to sepsis while I was in my sixth month of pregnancy. My baby had to be delivered because my placenta had started to hemorrhage. It was a tough time and I’m grateful for my gynaecologist who saved our lives.”

The actress feel that giving birth to a child in times of crisis is certainly not an easy thing to do. It has made everyone in the society question their choices. She said, “Our son is too young to know the difference. But while we stay home, we cherish the time we have together and do all we can to make this time engaging, happy and safe for our children.”

Dia feels that being vocal about her opinions and experiences had affected her career to a level, but she thinks that being honest should be the best way forward for her.
