Delhi Belly director, Abhinay Deo on Imran Khan’s decision to quit acting

Imran Khan’s Delhi Belly director, Abhinay Deo expressed his views on Imran’s decision to quit acting.

On the 10th anniversary of Delhi Belly’s release, director Abhinay Deo expressed his views on Imran Khan’s decision to quit acting. He was shocked by the news. The actor had also refused some of his film offers. The filmmaker said that Imran is a talented person and will surely find one or the other way to express his creativity.

In an interview with SpotboyE, Abhinay said, “I felt sad as I have high regard for that man. He is a great guy and there is any way a shortage of good people in this world.” He added, “He is one of the good guys and he should be there in this industry. He is a talented guy, whether in front of the camera or behind it. He is a trained filmmaker and a writer too. I feel he should get his creativity out in any form that he can. But I did feel bad that he did not want to act anymore.”

Further, he said, “As a matter of fact, Imran refused a couple of my films because he said he was stopping acting and I was taken aback a bit by that, otherwise he would have been a part of one of my films four years back. But he didn’t want to go down that route at all as he was reinventing himself. I think every person has a process and I am sure we will see some spectacular work from him in the future.”

Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran Khan, made his acting debut with the 2008 movie, Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, with Genelia Dsouza. He was also seen in movies like, ‘Mere brother ki Dulhan’, ‘I hate Luv storys’, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, and many others. However, he was not seen in any movie after 2015, Katti Batti, starring Kangana Ranaut, Mithila Palkar, and Vivan Bhatena. In November, Imran’s friend, actor Akshay Oberoi was the first one to confirm that he has quit acting. Akshay also stated that Imran may direct a film soon.
