One of the best-dressed stars at the Oscars was Deepika Padukone, who wore an off-the-shoulder black gown with gloves. In front of an enthusiastic audience, the actor revealed the song Naatu Naatu by RRR would be performed live.
Deepika changed into a short pink fur dress for an after party after the song went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Song. The actor has since released a number of images from her new look for a Vanity Fair party attended by celebrities and her Indian colleagues.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Deepika wrote, “And then the after #VFOscars @naeemkhannyc @cartier. Deepika wore the same black gloves she wore to the Oscars along with the pink dress and stockings. She accessorised the outfit with diamond jewellery and pointed black heels. She enhanced the atmosphere with a sloppy hairstyle and striking blue eye makeup.
On social media, Deepika received a tonne of acclaim for her Oscar outfit. She received accolades online from everyone, including Alia Bhatt, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Kangana Ranaut. While Kangana praised her for “standing tall” as an Indian lady at the occasion, Alia branded her a “stunner” for attending. Kangana tweeted a bout Deepika, saying, “How beautiful @deepikapadukone looks, not easy to stand there holding entire nation together, carrying its image, reputation on those delicate shoulders and speaking so graciously and confidently. Deepika stands tall as a testimony to the fact that Indian women are the best.”
Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, who performed the Telugu song Naatu Naatu with backup dancers at the award event, were introduced by Deepika on stage. She labelled the tune a ‘banger’ while introducing it amid loud cheers. As she walked the red carpet in a black gown, she also displayed her brand-new neck tattoo.
While enjoying the success of her most recent hit, Pathaan, Deepika Padukone is currently putting the finishing touches on her action comedy Fighter. Siddharth Anand is the director of both movies.
