Cyclone Nisarg: Raveena Tandon, Madhuri Dixit and other Bollywood actors urge fans to stay safe

After being a Coronavirus hotspot and one of the main places where the migrant workers’ homegoing issues stemmed from, once again the financial capital of India, Mumbai is headed for another trouble in name of cyclone Nisarga.

Right now the winds are blowing at the speed of 100-110 kmph and at any time, the city may face power failures. The authorities have advised the people to take necessary precautions to stay safe in this crisis along with being prepared for the cyclone.

Amid this several celebrities took to their social media handles and posted the precautions the citizens have to take and how they can safely emerge from these situations.

Madhuri Dixit urges people to not spread fake information. She took to twitter to wish safety to Mumbai and wrote, “Stay safe Mumbai! Refrain from spreading misinformation & ensure the safety of everyone around you. #CycloneNisarga”

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur asked the fans to share the landline numbers with each other. “Please be careful, be careful with #NisargaCyclone , it’s strong enough to take down cell phone towers. Hope your landlines are working. And send each other your numbers.. nobody remembers them,” he wrote on Twitter.

 

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, expressed his concern towards the fisherman community. He also praised the NGOs working for the betterment of the cyclone hit region. He tweeted, “Urging everyone to stay safe as news of #NisargaCyclone emerging.. specially the fisherman community and people living on the coastal line. A massive appreciation for the authorities and NGOs in Maharashtra & Gujarat working tirelessly in the cyclone hit region.”

 

Raveena Tandon posted a selfie on Instagram while providing the checklist of what to do and whatnot to do. She advised to keep all the batteries charged and unblock all the drains nearby. She captioned, “#atmanirbharphotoshoot cloudy day ,denims out,awaiting #hurricanenisarga .. checklist- keep emergency battery lights prepared and charged, unblock the drains around .. download a good movie on your phone , get the munchies ready. Hope this passes without incident. Hope all remain safe and dry. Hope there is no destruction..We Mumbaikars are always ready to jump in and help,if the need arises , but I pray that need, not be🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻 stay safe all!”
