Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went to a local hospital with his wife Brittany Mahomes to pay a visit to the victims injured during the 2024 Super Bowl parade shooting.
The couple can be seen smiling at the beside of the young patient, as per the pictures published by KC’s ABC affiliate KMBC News 9. Patrick and Brittany visited the hospital a day after the shooting occurred in Kansas City.
“While we are relieved by their progress, the emotional healing continues for all of us,” said the Reyes family, whose 8 and 10-year-old daughters were shot in the leg.
Led by Patrick, the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday and celebrated their victory three days later with a hometown rally in downtown Kansas City. At the end of Wednesday, shots were fired in the parade.
