On Friday, August 13, Cardi B released some fresh behind-the-scenes shots from the music video for “Rumors,” her most recent collaboration with Lizzo, on Instagram.
The 28-year-old artist continued to record her look from the legendary goddess-themed video. Cardi wears nothing but gold paint and a billowing white skirt in the photos.
Cardi wrote under the photographs, “ALL THE RUMORS ARE TRUE!!!” To complete the image, her prominent baby bump is draped in gold chains. Cardi B and her husband Offset are expecting their second child. Kulture, their 3-year-old daughter, is already theirs.
In June, she announced her pregnancy at the BET Awards. Cardi B performed “Type Sh*t” on stage with a surprising baby bulge, following in the footsteps of her first pregnancy announcement. While performing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live in 2018, the rapper announced Kulture’s arrival in the same way.
Cardi recently collaborated with Lizzo on the song “Rumors,” which was released on Friday. The ballad is about confronting and owning up to the rumour mill, as the title suggests. “Give ’em something to speak about / Sick of rumours / But haters do what they do / Haters do what they do,” both rappers declare in the chorus. Among the verifiable rumours? Lizzo says, “No, I ain’t f*ck Drake yet,” and that she’s “fake as hell.”
Cardi B released more hilarious footage from the BTS video with the “Juice” rapper on Friday morning. Cardi B released an Instagram video from Lizzo’s trailer, showcasing the music video’s plethora of 42-inch hair. In the amusing video, Cardi refers to the trailer as a “locker room” and wonders how Lizzo would pull off such thick hair. Cardi captioned the photo, “A bit behind the scenes.” “I was blown away by this.”
