On Tuesday evening, the 39-year-old pop artist came to Instagram to give a glimpse of her recent activities with her fans. Spears was seen drawing abstract art on a large piece of white paper and wearing a large white T-shirt and blue sneakers in a quick time-lapse video.
She added in the caption, referring to her escalating custody struggle, which witnessed multiple twists and turns during a session on Monday. “As you guys know there’s a lot of change going on in my life at the moment and today I was feeling overwhelmed so I went to Michael’s and got white paper and paint!!!. I wanted to see colour and this is me messing around!!!. Ok so I’m not a professional painter but I certainly felt like I was!!!”
“Rebellious… colorful…bright…bold…spontaneous…magical,” the “Toxic” singer said of her artwork, which she described as an “expression” of how she’s “feeling at the time.”
She went on to say that she is “clearly” displaying her “true colours. If you look closely, you can see a fish in there somewhere!!!” she further concluded”.
Spears’ new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, followed through on an early promise and filed a petition to have Jamie Spears’ conservatorship terminated. Jason Rubin, an accountant, was suggested by the singer and her lawyer to fill the role.
A hearing will be held in late September to consider the petition.
During the hearing, the parties started working on a payment plan for Jodi Montgomery’s protection, agreeing to keep the cost to $50,000, though no formal agreement was reached.
Judge Brenda Penny granted Bessemer Trust’s motion to be withdrawn as guardian of Spears’ property, and Montgomery’s provisional conservatorship was prolonged.
