Bebe Rexha opens up on being criticised for her weight gain post getting PCOS

Bebe Rexha confessed that she recently discovered she had polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS.

During an appearance on Gayle King’s SiriusXM show Gayle King in the House, the 33-year-old singer discussed her experience with PCOS, a hormonal imbalance that affects one in every ten women of childbearing age. The condition may generate symptoms such as irregular periods, excessive hair growth, acne, weight gain, and infertility.

The singer recently shared a screenshot from a TikTok video in which the search bar which appears automatically based on trending searched content— read “Bebe Rexha weight.” “Seeing that search bar is so upsetting,” she tweeted. “I’m not mad cause it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what.” She also added.

She explained her situation, saying she suffers with her weight and the way she looks, and it’s been difficult for her. She just recently discovered she has PCOS, which affects a large number of women. Weight gain is a common issue she has experienced. It’s difficult for her, and she’s been struggling with food.

She also said that when she first started out and received her first record deal, they kind of hammered it into her brain that she needed to lose weight in order to pursue this career. She was previously surrounded by negativity, the singer-songwriter recognises the value of people she surrounds herself with.
