Former Barcelona Legend, Xavi Hernandez has tested positive for Coronavirus. The news was broken via the twitter handle of his current managerial club, Al Sadd SC football and by Xavi’s own social media platforms.

The information was revealed by the football club on their official social media handles. The Barcelona legend said that. “A few days ago, following the @qsl protocol. I tested positive in the last COVID-19 test. Fortunately, I’m feeling ok. But I will be isolated until I am given the all clear. When the health services allow it, I will be very eager to return to my daily routine and to work.”
“I thank all the authorities, especially those responsible for @qsl, @qfa and @alsaddsc for providing us with all the means for early detection that will prevent further infections and ensure the normal development of the competition,” he further added.
The World Cup winner recently extended his stay in Qatar by another year dismissing many rumours on his return to FC Barcelona. The move quelled the rumours but the expectations among the fans don’t seen to be dying and they are hoping to see him back in Spain.
During his 17-year long stay at Barcelona, the midfield orchestrator won eight La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey trophies and four Champions Leagues.
He is also a World Cup winner with Spain and has a EURO winner’s medal too.
