Popular television actor Ashiesh Roy is hospitalized for dialysis. Known for his roles in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Ese Bhi’ and comedy shows like Yess Boss, the actor made a desperate appeal for financial aid. “I’m in the ICU. Very ill. Dialysis,” he posted on Facebook. This post was followed by “Need your urgent money for dialysis.”

Many television actors including Anup Soni, the host/ narrator of Crime Patrol wished for his speedy recovery. It was only Indian film director Hansal Mehta who came to his help. He commented “Sent. Please take care” on Ashiesh’s Facebook post. He also tweeted about it “Actor Ashiesh Roy (Bond) is seriously ill, on dialysis and in the ICU. He has appealed for financial help on FB. I’m doing all I can to help. Can industry associations also help the ailing actor?” and tagged Sushant Singh, General Secretary of Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) and Ashoke Pandit, President of Indian Film And Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) .

Ashoke Pandit asked the 55 year old actor asked “Would like to know the details of the hospital where the dialysis is happening,” on his Facebook post/ Filmmaker Bejoy Namibar has also provided financial assistance. He wrote. “Done. Hope he recovers soon. Please keep us updated.” Vinita Nanda who has supported the actor when he was hospitalised last year as well asked “Where are you?” Facebook user named Conica Halder shared the banking details of the actor urging his fans to donate.
