Following the overwhelming reaction being received by Ananya Panday starrer Call Me Bae, Prime Video announced renewal of the series. The series is being led by Ananya, along with Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Varun Sood, and several others.
It has been just utterly incredible to see the massive love and appreciation that Call Me Bae has garnered, said Nikhil Madhok, head of originals, Prime Video India. The response urges the studio to commission development for season 2 and takes the next step in the journey of Bae and her tribe.
“We are stroked to announce that we’re working on developong the second season of Call Me Bae,” shared producer Karan Johar. Dharmatic Entertainment’s Call Me Bae is an executive production of KJo, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It is created by Ishita Moitra who has co-written it along with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair while the series is directed by Collin D’Cunha.
“I’m still in awe of the response we’ve received for the first season of Call Me Bae, which has been an absolute labor of love for us,” said Somen.
