All was well for Akshay Kumar while we shooting for his next film, Cindrella in the UK. But suddenly he had to return to Mumbai as his mother, Aruna Bhatia recently fell ill. She was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital. The exact reason for which she was admitted has been kept a secret at the family’s request.
Since his mother fell ill his fans have flooded social media with prayers and wishes for her speedy recovery. Akshay recently took to various social media platforms to thank his fans for their love and care. He wrote, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help,”

In the comments section, fans again expressed their concern for mother and prayed god for her fast recovery. In the comments singer, B Praak on whose music videos, Akshay had featured also shared his concerns for his mother. B Praak commented, “Always Praying For You And Family Paaji Aunty Ji Will Be Fine Soon praying emoji”. A fan commented, “Sir aapki mom ko kuch nai hoga aaj mahaveer jayanti hain to main pray kruga ki aap ki mom jald thick ho jaye”. On the work front, Akshay was last seen in Bell Bottom which was released on August 19. The film featured Akshay in the role of a spy alongside Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi.
