Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar to visit Somnath Temple, Varanasi and Rai Pithora to honour Prithviraj’s valor

Samrat Prithviraj actors, Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar will visit Somnath Temple, Varanasi, and Rai Pithora to honor Prithviraj’s valor.

According to ETimes, Akshay Kumar, director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, and YRF are organizing a spectacular salute to Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan during the film’s release week. According to rumors, Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, and the director will take Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s flag to Somnath Temple and Varanasi to seek blessings, after which they would travel to Rai Pithora, the king’s fort, in New Delhi, to place the flag there in his honor.

This is confirmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who says, “Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan was the last Hindu Samrat of our country who stood up to protect Bharatmata’s freedom and dignity from merciless invaders who wanted to plunder India. We made this film to salute his glorious spirit and we are now traveling with Samrat Prithviraj’s flag to the Somnath Temple and Varanasi to seek blessings with the flag that represented freedom for our country.”

He adds, “Once we put the Holy water of Ganga on the flag and take blessings at the Somnath temple, we will visit Rai Pithora – Samrat’s fort – and place the flag there in his honor. The mighty king taught us never to bow down in front of invaders and evil and we hope that our film will inspire the youth of India to imbibe the same spirit of undaunting courage.”

The temple has been rebuilt several times in the past after being repeatedly destroyed by Muslim invaders and monarchs, including Mahmud of Ghazni, who is said to have attacked the temple 17 times. Mohammad of Ghor, Prithviraj’s arch-enemy, ruled over Ghazni as well. He established the groundwork for Muslim supremacy in the Indian subcontinent, which would persist for centuries.
