Actor Kiran Kumar tests Coronavirus-positive and is “quarantined at home”

The veteran actor, Kiran Kumar, popularly known for his work on both big and small screen, has been tested positive for Coronavirus and is currently under home quarantine.

“I am asymptomatic. On May 14, I went to the hospital for a medical check-up, where the COVID-19 test was mandatory. So, I got myself tested and the result was positive.”But I had no symptoms then, nor do I have any now. There’s no fever, no cough, I’m fine and have self-quarantined at home,” said Kumar.

The actor, who had featured in films like “Dhadkan”, “Mujhse Dosti Karoge”, among others, said it has been ten days since the test happened and he still hasn’t developed any symptoms.

“My family lives on the second floor of the building and I’m currently on the third floor. On May 26 or May 27, I am going to get my second test done. At the moment I’m absolutely fine,” he added.

Kiran Kumar is the latest celebrity to test positive for Coronavirus after Kanika Kapoor. Kanika Kapoor was the first Bollywood celebrity to test Corona positive after she returned to India from London in March. She was discharged from the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow on April 6, after getting a negative result on two consecutive tests. Later it was followed by Producer Karim Morani and his daughters Zoa and Shaza who were also diagnosed with the Coronavirus. However, they have made a complete recovery now. Actor Purab Kohli also opened up about his Coronavirus diagnosis in April, in an Instagram post.

As of Saturday, Maharashtra recorded a total of 47,190 Coronavirus cases, with 1,577 death tolls, according to the state health department.
