Back in time, on 10th June 2005, cine-lovers got a new crush as the director Pradeep Sarkar helmed the movie Parineeti and uncovered an extremely beautiful and talented actress in the Bollywood Industry.
As the debut movie of Vidya Balan turns 15 years old today, she shares a series of BTS pictures from the film’s set and pens a heartfelt note along with it.
Taking to her social media account, Vidya wrote, “Like Lolita was Shekhar’s better half even before the world knew it, you were mine too … but on the 10th June 2005,i became your Parineeta .

Parineeti, a musical family drama was loved by Indian audiences and the film also featured big names of B’town including Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Dia Mirza in pivotal roles. The co-stars of the movie also celebrated 15 years of the movie by sharing snaps on their respective social media account.
Sanjay Dutt shared a picture from the movie in which he looks so dedicated and true to his role, on his Instagram and wrote, “Thank you everyone for giving so much love to this film! #15YearsofParineeta”
On the other hand, Dia Mirza who played the character of Gayatri Tantia also took to her social media to celebrate the 15 years of this successful movie.
After watching the glimpses and unseen pictures from the set, we sure are craving to revisit the movie. The timeless tunes of ‘Parineeta’ still feels refreshing and soothing. Cheers to the whole team for 15 successful years of Parineeta.
