Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s untimely demise on 14th June, the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has been under constant allegations as one of the reason behind his death. Although, it seems there is a keen interest of the filmmakers to capture her journey for the big screen as she has been making it to headlines for the same. As per the recent reports of Mumbai Mirror, Sushant Singh Rajput’s case has got a lot of international coverage and a few filmmakers are considering to make the best out of it. It has been reported, that a biopic on Rhea’s life, with one documentary on the actress could also be in the pipeline. Not only this, but at a publishing house is also hopeful that the actress will pen a tell-all book.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Rhea in connection with the drug link that was unearthed by the agency while investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The actress was sent for 14 days judicial custody, which was lately extended till 6th October. Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty have applied for bail in the Bombay High Court and the matter has been adjourned till 29th September. In her bail plea, Rhea had stated that she was innocent and that the NCB is “deliberately” trying to invoke harsh charges against her and her family. She also said that she has been subjected to a “witch-hunt”.
Rhea Chakraborty was dating Sushant Singh Rajput and had left his home just days before the actor passed away. Sushant’s father had filed an FIR in Patna, against Rhea alleging that the actress and her family had cheated Sushant and driven the actor to end his life. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the matter.
