NEET(UG) application forms out, check out all details here

Students can now apply to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) as the application forms have been released on Tuesday, June 13. To apply, candidates must visit the website ntaneet.nic.in. The forms were supposed to open from 5:00 PM but the website of the National Testing Agency(NTA) suffered various technical glitches with students complaining of the website being slow or showing an error.

Applications for appearing in the NEET exam would remain open till 11:50 PM on August 6. Students would be required to make the fee payment by 11:50 PM on August 7. The NTA will also allow candidates to edit the details submitted by them between 8-12 August. The admit card would be issued 3 days before the exam is conducted.

The NEET(UG) exam for the year 2021 has been postponed from the scheduled date of August 1 and will now be conducted on September 12, as announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday. He informed that the medical entrance exam would be held in physical mode and assured that COVID-19 protocols would be followed through staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc.

This year, the NEET exam will be conducted in a total of 9 languages apart from English and Hindi- Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Students will need to indicate their language preferences while filling the application form.

In order to maintain social distancing, the medical exam would be conducted in 198 cities, an increase from 155 cities last year. The number of examination centres will also be increased.
