Due to the surge in COVID-19 infections, JAC had cancelled Class 10 & 12 board examinations in the state. Jharkhand’s Chief Minister, Heman Soren had stated, “Today, in view of the circumstances arising out of COVID-19 and the demand of students and parents, I have decided to cancel the Class 10 and 12 board examinations to be conducted by Jharkhand Examination Council for this session.”

Marks have been provided to students on the basis of an alternate marking scheme alongside their final performance of Class 9.

After a decrease in coronavirus cases, the state board will conduct special examinations for candidates who are left unsatisfied with their marks and prefer to receive marks by giving actual exams instead of special criterion.
