The result for Class 10 examinations comes two days after CBSE declared the results for Class 12 examinations. The aggregate pass percentage of Class 12 students was 88.78%.
Due to the cancellation of some exams due to COVID-19, CBSE will be following the same pattern to award students as it did for Class 12. For the subject for which the exam wasn’t conducted, the board has marked students on the basis of an average of the highest three marks. For those who appeared for three exams only, the best of two papers will be considered and so on.
The passing benchmark remains at 33% and students getting a score below this would be failing the examination. The aggregate pass percentage of students in the year 2019, for Class 10 examinations, was 91.1% which was the highest so far.
