A 13-year-old girl was brutally raped and later found dead. The situation that led to the heinous crime was the juvenile’s open defecation in farmland. The girl happened to be a lower caste, victimized for defecating in farmland in Pakaria village of Isanagar area in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district late on Friday.
It was observed that the girl went missing after she had gone to relieve herself in the field. Later when the family went searching for their daughter, came the shocking news of her found dead in the cane field. A report by NDTV mentions father’s quote and reads, “She had been strangled, her eyes were gouged out and her tongue cut. The incident took place on Friday, around 130 km from Lucknow, in a village close to the Nepal border. Her body was found in the fields of one of the accused.”
Police dismissed reports that the girl had sustained grievous injuries on her tongue and eyes in the incident, and said the postmortem stated that the death was due to strangulation after rape.
