Manish Shukla Shot Dead: Top officials from government summoned by Governer

SiuecenewsManish Shukla was shot dead on Sunday in front of the Titagarh Police Station in West Bengal. Manish Shukla was the BJP Councillor from West Bengal and was shot at North 24 Parganas. There have been reports from sources that around nine rounds were fired on him, However, there is no official confirmation on the number of rounds fired on Manish Shukla.

The State Governer Jagdeep Dhankar has summoned top officials of the Mamata Banerjee government on Monday at 10 am at the Raj Bhavan, after the BJP Councillor was shot dead. The West Bengal BJP unit has asked for a CBI probe into the matter and also mentioned the involvement of TMC in the death of Manish Shukla.

The Governer has summoned Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and the DGP for today (Monday) in the wake of “worsening law and order situation” in the case of Councillor Manish Shukla.

The BJP state made a tweet after the incident, “Bengal is now being turned into place where murders are normalised! Manish Shukla, BJP councillor from Titagarh was shot by TMC goons. These series of murders clearly indicates towards your inevitable end TMC,” said BJP state unit (West Bengal).

The incident was said to be “Political Terrorism” from TMC, by the BJP’S state president Dilip Ghosh.

“The horrific murder of BJP’s youth leader, lawyer and former councillor Manish Shukla is reprehensible. This is an example of the bloody politics of Paschim Banga under TMC. Can any justice be expected from this state Government? #PoliticalTerrorism of TMC,” said Dilip Ghosh in a tweet.
