Telecom major Bharti Airtel reports a net profit in its Q4 results

Telecom major Bharti Airtel witnessed a net profit of Rs 759.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. The company, during the quarter, launched several new introductions.

Telecom Major Bharti Airtel has reported a net profit of Rs 759.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. Though, the company witnessed a loss of Rs 5,237 crore in the year-ago period.

While in the December quarter, profit stood at Rs 853.6 crores. Bharti Airtel reports an increase in profit by 17.6% year-on-year on a comparable basis.

According to the company management, about 20% of the customers contribute to 80% of its total share. The company is making an effort to insource the entire sales force which was previously outsourced with the purpose to build digital channels and take a grip over adjacent areas.

Furthermore, during the quarter, the company came up with several updated introductions such as Airtel Safe Pay, Airtel Ads, etc.

The company has been making efforts in the direction of providing more and more facilities to its customers. It has 33% of the liberalized spectrum and it can be converted into 5G over time.
