Ranjeet Kohli has been named as the executive director and chief executive officer of Britannia Industries, the company that makes the well-known Good Day and Tiger biscuits. Varun Berry has been promoted to Executive Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, the business recently revealed. According to a BSE filing by the Britannia industries, Kohli will assume the post on September 26, 2022, and will report to Varun Berry.
“As one of India’s leading food companies with over a 100-year legacy, Britannia has an exceptional track record of innovation and serving consumers with exemplary standards. I feel privileged and am truly excited for what lies ahead of us at Britannia”. Ranjeet Kohli said in a statement released after the appointment.
On the other hand, Varun Berry said, “I am delighted to welcome Rajneet to Britannia. His experience in building high-performance businesses and profitable brands is strongly aligned with our vision of becoming a Responsible Global Total Foods Company. Ranjeet’s proven track record of scaling up businesses and building highly engaged teams makes him a perfect fit for the Organization. I look forward to partnering with Rajneet to lead us to the next phase of growth,” he further added.
As expenditures increased, Britannia reported a 13.4 per cent decline in June-quarter earnings in August, below analyst expectations. Britannia is a 100-year-old which is present in several continents Africa, North America, Europe, etc.
