Q2 FY2021 Results: ICICI Bank records profit of Rs 4,882 crore, 300% YoY growth

The company reported a net profit of Rs 4,882.33 crore for the September quarter, a 300% growth YoY. It had posted a profit of Rs 1,131.20 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

ICICI Bank Ltd. on Saturday announced its Q2 FY2021 results. The company reported a net profit of Rs 4,882.33 crore for the September quarter, a 300% growth YoY. It had posted a profit of Rs 1,131.20 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

The private bank posted a total income of Rs 39,321.42 crore during the Q2 FY2021 period as compared to Rs 37,424 crore during the FY2020 period. In the previous quarter, it posted Rs 37,939.32 crore revenue.

The Mumbai based company has reported diluted Earnings per Share (EPS) of Rs 7.21 for the period. It had posted EPS of Rs 4.96 for the previous Q1 June period.

The company stated in its BSE regulatory filing, “During Q2-2021, the Bank has made contingency provision amounting to Rs 497.30 crore for borrower accounts, which were not classilied as non-performing pursuant to the interim order of the Supreme Court. During Hl-2021, the Bank has not utilised Covid-19 related provision made in the earlier periods. Accordingly. the Bank held aggregate COVID-19 related provision of Rs 8,772.30 crore at September 30, 2020.”
