L&T Construction bags a ‘significant’ order from National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd

The order is for designing & constructing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project.

On Monday, January 10, L&T construction announced that it’s has won an order from National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL). The order is for designing & constructing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project. The corridor will be the first high-speed corridor in the country.

The order is a ‘significant’ order so the price is expected to be between Rs 1000-2500 crore. The major scope of work is related to civil & building works for a double line high-speed railway line. The line passes through Vadodara, Gujarat & is expected to be completed within 49 months.

“L&T is already executing two other packages (MAHSR – C-4 and MAHSR C-6) of the high-speed
corridor and takes pride in being associated with this prestigious project. Over the years, L&T has significantly enhanced its capability to build faster, and reliable mass transit systems and this project is in line with its strategic goals,” the company said in a statement. L&T is an Indian multination company, it offers services in hi-tech manufacturing. The company has a presence in over 50 countries.
