The CRED app’s users will be able to make UPI payments from their bank accounts connected to the CRED app by scanning a QR code thanks to the company’s launch of the Scan & Pay service on Saturday.

Cred customers who use this method of payment will have the chance to receive two times the benefits from partner merchants, discounts on well-known brands, cashbacks, and customised experiences.

“It also makes payment experience safer and trusted with inbuilt features offering more privacy, payment protection and transparency with dynamic messaging,” Cred said in its statement.

Users have the option to establish an alias UPI in the Scan & Pay service for increased security. Users can conceal personal information, such as cell numbers, through the alias, ensuring greater anonymity when making payments. “Once Custom VPAs are activated, payments will be made via members’ alias UPI ID by default,” Cred said in its statement.

“CRED was built with the creditworthy in mind. The country’s top 1% have set the stage for how India consumes and we believe they deserve an experience that celebrates their contribution,” said Kunal Shah, founder, CRED.

India has been at the forefront of the adoption of digital payments because to ground-breaking made-in-India goods, and UPI is a key enabler of innovation at scale. With member-only features, personalization, and privacy-first features, the brand-new CRED pay experience improves on this.
