Britannia Industries reports net profit of Rs 380 crore in Q4, announces dividend

The biscuit maker recorded an income of Rs 3,508.35 crore from the sales of goods in Q4.

On Monday, May 2, Britannia Industries Ltd reported its financial results for the fourth quarter ended on March 2022. The Q4 net profit surged 4.26% to Rs 379.87 crore from Rs 364.32 crore in the same quarter the previous year.

The biscuit maker recorded an income of Rs 3,508.35 crore from the sales of goods in Q4, which is up by 15.47% from Rs 3,038.13 crore in the same quarter the previous year. “In this quarter, we delivered a robust top-line growth of 15 per cent and a mid-single-digit volume growth which demonstrates the resilience of our brands and a reflection of our execution strengths across divisions and channels,” said MD, Varun Berry.

The board has recommended a dividend of Ra56.50 per share. The company has further announced the setting up of three new greenfield units. “I am pleased to announce that our new Dairy greenfield factory is on track for commercialization in the next few months. In addition, we are also in the process of setting up 3 greenfield units – in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Bihar,” Berry further added

Today, the shares of Britannia Industries we’re trading in the red, the shares closed 0.41% at Rs 3265.95/piece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
