Amazon to host first-ever Career Day in India on September 16

The event will be conducted digitally where numerous employs will come to talk about Amazon leadership and the working experience at Amazon.

On 16 September the worlds largest retailer Amazon will be hosting a career day in India. The event will be conducted digitally where numerous employs will come to talk about Amazon leadership and the working experience at Amazon. The company is also said to talk about how it will reach out to the Indian citizens help them mobilise their skills.

Further, the company stated that it is electing around 8000 employs in around 35 cities in India.
Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon, and Mumbai. The other cities include Kolkata, Noida, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Pune, and Surat. The job openings will facilitate around corporate, technology, customer service and operation placements.

The event will also include a chat session with Andy sassy the CEO of Amazon where she will talk about her experiences and advice for all the job seekers.

“Our commitment in India is that we will create around 20 lakh direct and indirect jobs by 2025,” said Deepti Varma, HR Leader, Corporate, APAC, and MENA, Amazon, in an interview. “We’ve already created around 10 lakh direct and indirect jobs. Even during the pandemic, we had nearly created around 3 lakh direct and indirect jobs across technologies, content creation, retail, logistics, and manufacturing. The whole Career Day event is designed to support all job seekers when they are looking for new jobs or sometimes they’re also wanting to transition into a different career. This is an opportunity for them to understand Amazon better.”

According to the sources Amazon is planning to hire about 55,000 individuals for corporate and technology in the coming months. As per reports as of now, Amazon conjures about 1 Lakh employees in the field of engineering, applied sciences, business management, supply chain and operations. Other areas include finance, HR to analytics, content creation and acquisition, marketing, real estate, corporate security, video, and music. It has been stated that India comes to be the second-largest technology hub for Amazon.
