
Adani Solar Energy Kutchh Two, a subsidiary of Adani Group has a 25-year long power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam India (GUVNL) to supply the power at Rs 2.44 per unit.
On Wednesday, Adani Solar Energy Kutchh One Limited declared that it has commissioned 150 MWac (Mega-Watt Alternating Current) Solar Power Project in Kutch.
“The commencement of 100 MWac (megawatts of alternating current) solar power project in Khirsara, Kutchh, Gujarat in line with the Adani Group’s legacy of scale and speed and is another significant step towards achieving our vision of 25 GW renewable energy by 2025,” said Vineet S. Jain, CEO, Adani Green Energy.
He even added, “This is the third solar plant commissioned by AGEL over a span of less than a month. The trend demonstrates our sharp focus on timely project delivery and our long-term vision to achieve a renewable capacity of 25 GW by 2025.
Adani Green has a total renewable capacity of 14,195 MW. Now, AGEL’s total operational renewable capacity grows to 3,125 MW. Gujarat contributes to nearly 13% of renewable energy production in India.
The company in a statement said that despite all the challenges of global pandemic COVID-19, unprecedented rain and flood in Kutchh, the team of experts made it possible to commission the project three months prior to its scheduled commissioning date.
