The cops said that the car was driving at a high speed but both seats were reclined and no one looking through the windshield to see where the car was going.

In a statement, the cops said, “The car appeared to be self-driving, travelling over 140 km/h with both front seats completely reclined & occupants appeared to be asleep.”

Tesla’s United Stated website has a cautionary statement, “current autopilot features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.”
