
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, on Monday, holds a meet via video conferencing with a view to reviewing the preparedness and aid being procured by the armed forces to civil authorities in order to combat the difficulties sprung out of Cyclone tauktae, according to ANI.

Well, the incessant rain arising out of cyclone tauktae has affected parts of many coastal areas like Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, etc.
In Mumbai, the inclement weather has uprooted many trees in several parts. The gusty winds and heavy showers have led to water-logging in major parts of the city. Several electric poles and cables were torpedoed resulting in power cuts in some of the areas
In addition to this, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has said that Prime Minister Modi personally called him and assured him that the center would extend all possible supports to the Goa government.
Furthermore, PM Modi had a word with Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani and lieutenant governor of Daman & Diu regarding the preparedness to tackle the situation arising out of the cyclone.
