This collaboration aims to leverage the respective strengths of both entities, fostering improved cost management, revenue generation, and a reinforced position within the Indian aviation landscape.

By amalgamating efforts, SpiceJet and the new airline anticipate enhancing flight schedules and expanding destinations, ultimately attracting more passengers and increasing ticket sales.

Currently, SpiceJet is diligently working on revitalizing its business operations. Having completed the initial phase of capital infusion amounting to Rs 744 Crore, the airline is gearing up for further financial backing.

SpiceJet has initiated steps to raise an additional Rs 1000 crore, with plans already in motion to secure shareholder approval for raising up to Rs 2500 crore through QIP.

Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of SpiceJet, expressed optimism about the potential of Go First and its revitalization through close collaboration with SpiceJet. He emphasized the mutual benefits expected from harnessing the strengths of both airlines.

Ajay Singh stated, “I firmly believe that GoFirst holds immense potential and can be revitalized to work in close synergy with SpiceJet, benefiting both carriers. Apart from coveted slots at domestic and international airports, international traffic rights, and an order for over 100 Airbus Neo planes, GoFirst is a trusted and valued brand among flyers. I am happy to contribute to the efforts aimed at reviving this popular airline and leveraging its strengths for mutual growth and success.”
