OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-oriented version of its popular AI system, with enhanced security and privacy features. This comes as ChatGPT has seen a decline in user engagement nine months after its initial release.

ChatGPT Enterprise is an upgraded version of the chatbot, designed specifically for business users. It features improved security and privacy measures, building on the lessons learned from previous versions.

OpenAI stated that this marks another step towards an AI assistant for work that can help with any task, is customized for your organization, and protects your company data.

The business edition of ChatGPT is similar to Microsoft’s Bing Chat Enterprise, which also leverages OpenAI technology.

According to AFP, ChatGPT Enterprise will be powered by GPT-4, OpenAI’s most advanced model. This is similar to ChatGPT Plus, the subscription-based version for individual users. However, business clients will have access to exclusive benefits such as faster processing speed.

OpenAI believes that AI can assist and elevate every aspect of our working lives and make teams more creative and productive.

Early adopters of ChatGPT Enterprise include well-known companies such as Carlyle, The Estée Lauder Companies, and PwC.

This launch coincides with ChatGPT’s efforts to maintain the initial excitement that led it to become the world’s fastest downloaded application in the weeks following its release. However, this record was recently surpassed by Threads, a social media platform owned by Meta (a subsidiary of Facebook) that competes with Twitter.

Analytics firm Similarweb reported that ChatGPT experienced a nearly 10 percent decline in traffic during June and July. This decrease in usage could be related to the summer break for schools.

Similarweb’s data also indicates that about a quarter of ChatGPT’s global user base is between the ages of 18-24.
