There has been a common misconception in the masses that luxury automotive brands like Rolls Royce Motors and Bentley Motor do not use commercials to brand their products. This rumor is prevalent in social media through various pages that write on motivation and values. The resultant has been so widespread that people have actually believed it to be true.

One of the reasons which may have supported this false belief is that there are not many advertisements of these brands. But there are definitely commercials as opposed to the conception. A Quora reply by a London based creative agency personnel has clearly stated that both Rolls Royce and Bentley has made commercials for its branding and driving its vehicle’s sales. It is however more target oriented with visibility to High Net Individuals (HNIs).

There is also an article written on Noseworthy blog where the learning points of Rolls Royce advertisements are highlighted. It states that the company advertised since the 1920s in print media, hiring best copywriters to brand them a luxury model. They have been known to make their first on-screen appearance advertising for the Rolls Royce Ghost in 2009.

Bentley Motors has indulged into commercials since its inception though most of it is in the form of magazines, newsletter. It has branded the company in terms like, ‘The Silent Sports Car’, ‘The Continental Bentley’, and its car, ‘Hooper’. One can view the advertisements here. The ‘Bentley Mulsanne‘ and ‘Bentley Flying Spur‘ were some of the popular commercials of the company. The new ‘Bentley Continental GT Convertible’ was the most recent venture of the company.

It is quite evident that the claim made by these so-called motivation pages are nothing but a myth. These brands surely advertise but their advertisements are limited to magazines and reports which HNIs and successful people prefer to read.
