The manager of One8 Commune-Bengaluru, co-owned by Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, is facing legal action for operating beyond the permissible hours. According to a report by News18, an FIR was filed at the Cubbon Park Police Station after the establishment was found serving customers at 1:20 am, violating the mandated closing time of 1 am on July 6.
The incident came to light when a sub-inspector, conducting night patrols, responded to reports and confirmed the activity. Authorities have taken similar action against three other pubs in the area.
One8 Commune, a project of Virat Kohli, has locations in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and other major cities. The Bengaluru outlet, located on the sixth floor of Ratnam’s Complex near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, was launched in December last year.
Previously, the Mumbai branch of One8 Commune faced controversy when a man from Tamil Nadu shared a video alleging he was denied entry for wearing a “veshti”. He expressed disappointment over the incident.
