Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced key leadership changes, appointing Aarthi Subramanian as the new President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mangesh Sathe as Chief Strategy Officer, both effective from May 1, 2025. The move comes as the IT major prepares to navigate a challenging global environment with a renewed strategic focus.

Aarthi Subramanian, who was previously the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons and a TCS Board member, will now join the executive ranks at TCS. A veteran at the company since 1989, she has previously served as the Global Head of Delivery. In her new role, she will help drive operational execution and digital transformation initiatives.

Mangesh Sathe, formerly the CEO of Tata Strategic Management Group, brings a rich consulting background, including stints at BCG and PRTM. As CSO, he will head the Global Consulting Practice and oversee M&A functions, reporting directly to CEO K Krithivasan.

The appointments were announced alongside TCS’ Q4 FY25 results, which showed a marginal dip in profit and a slight revenue uptick sequentially.

TCS reported a net profit of ₹12,224 crore, down 1% from ₹12,380 crore in Q3 FY25. Revenue from operations stood at ₹64,479 crore, up 0.8% QoQ. EBIT margins remained stable, estimated in the 24.5%–24.8% range, supported partially by rupee depreciation.

Total income was reported at ₹65,507 crore, while expenses rose to ₹49,105 crore due to an uptick in employee benefit costs.

For the full year FY25, TCS posted ₹2,55,324 crore in revenue and a net profit of ₹48,797 crore, showing steady growth from FY24.

With fresh leadership and a robust $30 billion revenue base, TCS is poised to enter FY26 with a sharper strategic lens and hopes of renewed momentum in its key verticals and geographies.
